Caldwell Presbyterian Church welcomes all whether you are young or old, gay or straight, rich or poor. We celebrate our deep sense of community, our commitment to living Christ-centered lives, and the Holy Spirit that brings us together. Our services are warm and informal and grounded in centuries-old traditions of our faith, including Communion on the first Sunday of every month.
We are diverse, inclusive, and justice oriented. We work to advocate for, provide comfort to, and work to empower marginalized groups who have been at a disadvantage in our society. Our mission statement is that we seek to build a diverse, intentional, affirming community animated by joyful worship and called forth into social action for service to the greater good.
Caldwell Presbyterian Church values the diversity that has allowed our communities of faith, our city, and our nation to progress. We are a congregation of many different races and ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We place significance on educating ourselves on the different forms of oppression and the role organized religion has played in this. We recognize the many gifts each person has been given and brings to the church from their personal experiences and walk of life. Our commitment to intersectionality leads the way we worship, lead, follow, and listen to one another in all aspects of our ministry. We focus on "centering the other" and lifting up voices that have been silenced for too long, and have learned that this has made us able to better servants of God.
