Our pastor's wish for Long Island was to create a church where members of the LGBTQ community and our allies could unite in worship, spiritual guidance, and fellowship. At Long Island Community Fellowship, no one has to be ashamed of who they are or hide their identity. Our church affirms that God loves all people, and is a place where faith is a journey and not a guilt trip.
Our church is an open and affirming Christian community. We minister to the young and the old, singles and couples, and the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and otherwise community, along with those who love and support us. We want all people to be able to feel at home at our church; it is a great place to visit, share with your loved ones, and belong to.
We are a church that celebrates the diversity and individuality of all God's people. We build our community by preaching the good news to one another, encouraging spiritual and personal growth, caring for the challenged and forgotten, and strengthening our social bonds through leadership, education, and advocacy with one another. LICF aims to bring people together through Christ. We do this through regular worship services, interpreting the scripture together, and edification through the teaching and peaching of God's word. When you visit our church for the first time, you will feel the bond our members have created with one another. The connections we have have made us a family, and we hope you will join us and be part of our family!
